Description
Digital illustration based on the traditional nursery rhyme “One for Sorrow”. Exhibited as part of my solo exhibition “One for Sorrow” in 2015 at the Peterborough City Gallery. Digitally Painted in Photoshop with the use of a Wacom drawing tablet and now available as a limited edition series of fine art Giclée Prints (of 50). This piece explores themes of death, gluttony and the representation of boys in traditional nursery rhymes. There are also references to Sing a Song of Sixpence “four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie” and What Are Little Boys Made Of “Snips & snails & puppy dogs tails And such are little boys made of”.
